What happens in Vegas.....

....doesn't necessarily stay in Vegas because I'm so excited to tell everyone that Amy got engaged! Woohoo! The weekend was so much fun but Amy and Tim's as this time engagement was the highlight, of course. I'm still recovering from a weekend of very little sleep....seriously, I am not made to party like that. Some people can hang but I'm not one of them. Plus, I drank Saturday night and I'm pretty sure that was the first time I've been drunk since my bachlorette party 2 1/2 years ago. (pathetic, I know!)

Anyway, I really don't feel like writing all the trip details out so if you are interested in all of our Vegas fun, click on Alisha's blog on my blog list to the right. (Milosevich family) She gave a play-by-play of our whole weekend on here post so check it out! I'm way too lazy for all that writing tonight! So in a nutshell, the trip to Vegas was a blast! The most fun I've had in a long time!

A cutie in his pj's!

My son is so darn cute in his pj's every morning. I always take pictures of him in them! Just thought I'd share a few!

Busy Weekend

Well, we had a lot going on this weekend. To start with, Friday was my 29th birthday. Yes, I am old! We had a small dinner at Ciao Pasta in San Juan Capistrano because I really wasn't up for doing anything big this year. But the food was yummy and I had a great night!

Then on Saturday, Dave and I got to get away for a night alone. I really wanted us to get away for a night before Dave leaves. It was sooo nice - we went to see a movie, had an awesome dinner at French 75 in Laguna Beach and stayed at the Newport Marriott. Carter stayed home and played with his Auntie Naomi. In the morning, Dave and I had breakfast at Ruby's Diner in Laguna Beach. That was where we had our first date 12 years ago. Dave took me to breakfast there and we talked for hours. Of course, this time - there was less talking and more eating. That's how us married people do it! Dave said he was going to have a blocked artery after that breakfast - he had cinnamon french toast with bacon and eggs - plus a chocolate malt! He cannot resist a Ruby's malt!

Finally, on Sunday, the Dahlgren's threw Dave a goodbye party at their house. It was a lot of fun and Dave got to hang with all of his buddies. Carter has a little cold so he wasn't in the best mood but he still hung in there. Overall, we had a great weekend but I was really tired by the time we got home Sunday night!

"Camping" last weekend

So, last weekend we went "camping" with the Milosevich fam. By camping, of course I mean that we went for a few hours, had some smores and bailed out to sleep at home. I don't camp because I hate sleeping in a tent so I guess I'm a bed snob. But I love sitting around a bonfire and making smores so I like that part of camping. We went with Alisha, Marko and kids and it was a lot of fun. Madi was very cute, trying to sit with Carter and give him her blanket. It started raining at 7:30 so it was the perfect time to go home and put Carter to bed. It was very convenient because the campground was 1/2 a mile from our house!

Flight Suit Formal

Last Thursday night Dave and I attended the Flight Suit Formal for his squadron. This basically was just a dinner where everyone wore a flight suit, including all of the wives. It turned out to be a lot of fun and it was nice for us to have a night out while Carter was home with his Auntie Naomi. You'll see in the pictures that the flight suit didn't fit me that well - basically it looked like I was wearing a bag!

Babies and Airshow = Bad Combination!

So we took Carter to the Miramar Air Show with Dave's family on Friday. Let's just say, it didn't go so well! Carter was totally freaked out by the jet noise so we had to leave after less than an hour. He kept crying so Carter and I headed to the Matthew's house and Dave stayed to spend time with his family. Luckily, we got a couple good pics in front of the Cobra on display (the helicopter that Dave flies) before all the jet noise started. Plus, I'm adding a picture of Carter and Will. They had some fun in Will's wagon when we first arrived. I guess we won't be going to the airshow again for a couple years!
